Arch. Master's Thesis: Autocatalytic Communities
While in office, President Obama formed the ‘Joint Venture For Sustainable Communities’ initiative. Working with officials from HUD, CDC, EPA and DOE, my team and I created tools to help facilitate communication among policy makers, elected officials and the public. We developed a Sustainable Communities Workshop and Traveling Exhibition for Rep. John Yarmuth’s Louisville constituency utilizing design-thinking techniques. The tools outlined the initiative’s “Six Livability Principles," and highlighted gaps and opportunities in federally-funded sustainability programs.
